About Kimly Ceramics

Kimly Ceramics is a small pottery studio in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where each piece is thrown, built, glazed, and finished by hand. Rooted in the traditions of ceramic craft, the studio explores the relationship between making and meaning, creating objects that are both functional and expressive.

Kimly first found clay as a creative outlet and a way to connect with people in a new place. Since moving to Fayetteville from Orange County, California in 2015, pottery has become a meaningful part of how she builds community.

In an era of mass production and increasing digital distance, Kimly believes there is lasting value in objects made slowly and with intention. Each piece passes through many stages of work, from the first touch of clay to the final firing. Variations in form, surface, and glaze are part of that process, reflecting the character of the material and the decisions made by hand.

Her work is grounded in the belief that craft and art are not separate pursuits. The functional vessel becomes a place for expression, where form, surface, and narrative come together. Through pottery, Kimly explores the possibilities of clay as both a material and a medium for artistic expression.
